THROWBACK SERIES: FRANCE & SWITZERLAND

SUMMER 2025: JUNE 20TH – JULY 5TH

We embarked on an unforgettable summer adventure across France & Switzerland. The journey began at JFK International Airport, where we boarded an evening American Airlines flight to Paris. After an overnight journey, we arrived in the City of Light on the morning of June 23rd, eager to immerse my in European culture.

Upon arrival in Paris, we enjoyed breakfast and spent the afternoon orienting ourselves to the city before checking into the Voco Hotel Montparnasse. That evening, we dined at the hotel and rested up for the excitement ahead. The next day, we explored the Louvre Museum in the morning, followed by lunch, and then visited the Eiffel Tower, Champs-Élysées, and Arc de Triomphe in the afternoon and evening. The magic of Paris continued with a visit to Le Marais, the Picasso Museum, and the Notre Dame area, followed by a charming evening in Montmartre.

On June 26th, we departed Paris and traveled to Annecy. After checking into the Moxy Hotel, we enjoyed dinner and explored the beautiful lakeside town. The next day featured a walking tour and a scenic boat ride around Lake Annecy, ending with a peaceful nighttime stroll.

The journey then led to Switzerland, starting with a day trip to Geneva on June 28th. We returned to Annecy that night before heading to Leysin the next day, where we stayed at the Leysin Central Residence. Our group explored Lake Geneva, including stops in Vevey and Montreux, and visited the Chateau de Chillon before returning to Leysin for a special dinner with mountain views.

From there, we ventured to Lucerne, with stops in Interlaken and Grindelwald, followed by a trip to Engelberg and Mount Pilatus. We all enjoyed the serene Swiss scenery and prepared for our departure to Zurich. In Zurich, we explored the historical old town and settled into the Holiday Inn Express near the airport.

On July 5th, the two week travelers flew back home to the states, while some continued on to the second half of our summer as well as new travelers embarking from the home to meet us in Greece.
