Our Mission

Frontier Travel Club is an upscale travel provider and social group for adults with special needs and disabilities. Through travel and community, we enable high-functioning adults on the Autism Spectrum and other learning disabilities to overcome their limitations and achieve greater independence, socialization, and personal growth.

Our purpose is to help people overcome their limitations and discover their independence.

Life is a journey of overcoming challenges. We are all capable of more than we believe. More freedom. More joy. More life. But sometimes the journey requires a little help. Help from our loved ones and people who care. Help from people who take the time to understand us. Support from those who know enough to say, “you got this, keep going.” Together we overcome our challenges. Break free from our limitations. We take that trip. We explore new frontiers. We build lifelong relationships. And, we discover a new sense of independence.

Frontier Travel Club. Find Your Freedom.

“We are all capable of more than we believe.”

Why parents trust us with their adult children.

Frontier Travel Club has been a dream come true for my 28 year old daughter who is on the autism spectrum. Everything from the planning of the trip, traveling to and from the destination and of course the actual trip, was so well communicated, organized and managed. I had such comfort knowing my daughter was in excellent hands, completely safe at all times. The travel experience and meeting new friends has opened up a whole new world for my daughter and for that I am beyond grateful.

Frontier Travel Club has been life changing for our adult son with autism. Beginning at age 23 and continuing for the last 8 years FTC has been a place where our son can experience friendships, independence and great travel experiences, all under the safe and thoughtful care of FTC. There is no greater feeling for a parent than knowing their son is happy and experiencing new adventures with a group of friends that share many things in common.

My adult son had been wanting to travel for a very long time. Being a high functioning autistic adult, I decided he could go with a travel group but could not find in Canada. When I found Frontier Travel Club, I was still nervous about him travelling without family but helped Kayden do it anyway. It was one of THE BEST experiences he has ever had. Scott and his team are completely wonderful! Friendships that were made have endured and he frequently speaks to travel friends.

It has been a great experience. I have been doing this program since I was 18 years and now I am 32 years old and I feel like this is a wonderful family.

Scott Fineman, founder of Frontier Travel Club

Founder

Scott Fineman.

Scott founded Frontier Travel Club in 1997 and has personally led every trip since — over 200 of them, across more than 40 U.S. states (including Hawaii and Alaska) and 50+ countries: Canada, Australia, Japan, the UAE, Iceland, all over Europe, Central America, and the Caribbean. Travelers who’ve come back year after year describe him as something between a guide, a friend, and family.

His clinical foundation comes from a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University in New York and 32+ years working with children, adolescents, and adults on the Autism Spectrum, with ADD/ADHD, and with learning disabilities — plus specific training in behavior management. He’s based in Coconut Grove, Florida. He answers his own email, and he’ll tell you the truth about whether a trip is the right fit for your son or daughter — even when the answer is “not yet.” That candor is part of why families have trusted him with their adult children for almost three decades.

If you’re not sure whether Frontier is right for your family, Scott will get on a Zoom with you. No sales pitch. Just a conversation.
